CCDA_ABOUT_US_GOALS_PIC

The California High School Cheer and Dance Association (formerly CHSCDA, now CCDA) was originally founded in 2009 by a group of California spirit industry professionals and coaches. Noticing a need for a statewide, independent, organization specifically focused on providing resources to coaches to develop their spirit programs, the founding group sought to make spirit education and support easily accessible to every coach in California.

CHSCDA GOALS:

  • To be the leading resource and network for all spirit matters throughout California.
  • To build professional, working relationships with every school and local spirit program in California.
  • To unite all spirit coaches and advisors in California within one statewide organization.
  • To create a resourceful, beneficial community for everyone within our spirit community.
  • To promote safe coaching practices and techniques both in cheer and dance throughout California.

CHSCDA OBJECTIVES:

  • To support and encourage coaches, advisors, and administrators to safely develop and maintain their spirit programs.
  • To offer spirit program education and safety resources to all seeking it throughout California.
  • To host an annual competition for all cheer, song/pom/dance, and gameday teams, recognizing and promoting the positive impact they have on their school and community.
