ABOUT THE CCDA

The California High School Cheer and Dance Association (formerly CHSCDA, now CCDA) was originally founded in 2009 by a group of California spirit industry professionals and coaches. Noticing a need for a statewide, independent, organization specifically focused on providing resources to coaches to develop their spirit programs, the founding group sought to make spirit education and support easily accessible to every coach in California.

We all need that pre-season support before the summer months, and this is meant for just that! Whether it be tryout-related; summer training; season planning; on-campus-related or competition-related; cheerleading etiquette or fundraising; score sheets or pep rallies; we’ll work our way through topics provided by coaches with the goal of providing new ideas, information, and resources to our peers. .
